Steampunk Gun

For the Labyrinth Masquerade, and as a general present, I decided to jump on a bit of a bandwagon and try converting the Nerf Maverick (admittedly the most popular for this kind of conversion due to it's chunky shape) into a Steampunk inspired gun.

The gun's core metallic details and colouring were done by me, the fine filigree detail on the barrel, brass pipework and green liquid injectors were added by the now gun owner, Pablo.

This was a great project, and started life as a Nerf gun, the Maverick (check one out and see how it went from dayglo colours to this!) The detail on the slide and handle were made using doilies, and over painting and shading them with metallic colours. The rest of the gun was stained with a mud/rust colour to give it that lovely aged and used look.
The Steampunk Gun as part of the whole outfit. The filter mask was painted to match the overall colour scheme.

Well done Pabs for having a fantastic eye on bringing the whole outfit together and wearing it so well.
